Hymen Reconstruction or Hymenoplasty
The hymen is a ring or membrane that is found on the entrance of the vagina. It is produced in the fetus between the seventh and eleventh week of development, when the sex is produced. In the cases of men, genitals combine to create the scrotum and in women a combination with the formation of the internal and external labia form the hymen which is a viscose crease with a hole right at the entrance of the vagina.
When a woman is sexually active has traces of it, these are called myrtiform caruncles.
Reconstructive surgery for the hymen.
Hymenoplasty, hymen reconstruction. It consists on carrying out some incisions on both sides of the vagina and join the parts. We must give this a bit of time before having sexual relationships so the intervention heals properly.
This is an ambulatory process and it is run under sedation, it is a short surgery so you can go back to your daily life the next day after the surgery. Moreover these are soluble stitches. After the intervention the hymen will be completely restored and will fulfill its function with a normal look.
